SRINAGAR, Sept 30: The United India Insurance Company this afternoon presented a cheque of Rs. 1 crore to Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for flood affected people of Jammu and Kashmir
The Chief Minister while thanking the company expressed the hope that more and more corporate companies and well off people in the economy sector will whole heartedly donate to the Jammu and Kashmir Chief Ministers flood relief fund for rehabilitation of flood sufferers.
Earlier, the Chief Minister monitored the measures under implementation for restoration of public services and relief and rehabilitation of flood affected people at a meeting here this morning.
It may be mentioned here that the Chief Minister holds the monitoring meetings daily in the morning and the evening to oversee the functioning of the different departments viz-a-viz restoration of services and reaching out to affected people for relief and rehabilitation of flood affected families.
He receives brief from Administrative Secretaries and the Heads of the Departments on the pace of the rehabilitation and relief process besides ascertaining the ground situation on the subject.
