SAMBA, Feb 25: In a hit and run case an unidentified pedestrian was killed in road mishap after he was hit by an unknown vehicle at Nanak Chack area of Samba near here, today.
According to the information, the mishap occurred on Jammu -Pathankot National Highway at Nanak Chack area of Samba, when an unknown vehicle hit the unidentified pedestrian near Jagdish Palace. The vehicle fled from spot leaving no trace behind. The pedestrian received critical injuries and he was brought to District Hospital Samba for treatment by some people with the assistance of police, but the doctors declared him as brought dead. The body of the deceased was kept in the mortuary room of District Hospital Samba for identification.
In this regard police has registered the case and started further investigations.
