I refer to the news item ‘Under utilization of funds by different Government departments’ DE dated January 15, 2018.
The news once again reconfirms the approach of the Government officials as well as public representatives that they just need an employment for their livelihood and it is their least priority to do some public good while enjoying their position. No-one can now point out any finger on the Centre as they are providing ample funds for development in various sectors but it is a matter of great concern as well as retrospection when our capable public servants are unable to perform up to that level and leave the funds meant for public good unutilized. This leaves a serious question mark on their character and I fear whether we can see our State at par with the other States of the country in development. The system needs a complete overhaul where we can have people with passion and mission in public offices rather than people who are looking for mere employment along with the designated chair.
