JAMMU, Apr 11: The unauthorized electric poles installed at forest land in Bathindi by Power Development Department, Gandhi Nagar Division, were dismantled by Anti-Encroachment Wing and Forest Staff of Jammu forest Division.
The PDD had installed the electric poles and electric connections on Forest land, which is violation of Section 6(f) and 13(c) J&K Forest Act and Section 2 of J&K Forest Conservation Act.
The electric poles and wires were seized by the Forest team headed by DFO Jammu, Dr VS Senthil Kumar and brought to Forest Complex Gladni for initiation of further proceedings.
Dr Kumar informed that a show cause notice has also been issued to the Executive Engineer Gandhi Nagar Division, PDD, Jammu to explain his position that why not to initiate legal action as warrantor under Law.
