KARGIL, Mar 10: Deputy Commissioner, Kargil G Prasanna Ramaswamy chaired an introductory meeting with all the senior officers of the district the Central Government agencies.
The Deputy Commissioner emphasised on the need for the administration to function as one coherent team and as a family after office hours. The primary duty of the administration towards service of the poor and downtrodden was reminded and stressed upon by the Deputy Commissioner.
It was emphasised that unauthorized absence of senior officers from the district will not be tolerated and that it goes against the tenets of professional behaviour.
Detailed power point presentations were sought by the Deputy Commissioner from all the departments in the district specifying their strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and possibilities. The senior officers of the Indian Army and the Air Force assured their full cooperation in all endeavours of the District Administration and the Deputy Commissioner promised to reciprocate the same.
The meeting was attended by the Senior Superintendent of Police, the Commander, 121 Infantry Brigade, Chief Engineers NHPC, Superintending Engineers of the PWD, PDD departments and other senior officers.
