JAMMU, Apr 7: Minister of State for Power, Mohammad Ashraf Mir today informed the Lower House that the projects under Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Vidutikaran Yojana Phase-II for district Doda, Kishtwar and Ramban have been sanctioned for an amount of Rs 10128.24 lakh.
He said that tenders in this regard have been issued twice but no response has been received and time line has been extended four times.
Replying to a question by Congress MLA from Banihal Vikar Rasool, the Minister informed that efforts are being made to cover the remaining works of un-electrified areas in these districts under DDUGJY scheme. He said a proposal to establish a regional workshop for district Ramban is under examination.
The Minister said survey and investigation of potential sites for development of Hydro Electric Projects is a continuous process and JKSPDC has a dedicated Civil Investigation and Design Division, headquartered at Kishtwar for identifying such sites in erstwhile Doda district.
He further informed that in Banihal constituency one project namely 45 MW Bichilari has been awarded under Independent Power Producer Mode to M/s DIPL-Netcom. He said implementation agreement is to be signed and added that pre-feasibility of Nachalna HEP has been established and preparation of the prefeasibility report is in progress.
The Minister also informed that installation of Receiving Stations at Khari and Ukerhall are under examination subject to feasibility and requisite documents which are being prepared.
