Ukraine’s National Security Council approves 60-day martial law in country

KIEV, Nov 26: The National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) decided at a meeting on Monday to impose martial law in the country for 60 days, the decision has yet to be approved by the Verkhovna Rada.
Earlier, the proposal to impose martial law was supported by President Petro Poroshenko. “To offer the President of Ukraine to impose martial law in Ukraine for a period of 60 days, I urge to support the proposal,” NSDC Secretary Oleksandr Turchynov said at NSDC meeting.
After that, the council voted to support this decision.
