JAMMU, Sept 22: The UT Administration today constituted Unique Identification Implementation Committee (UIDIC) for Ladakh.
Advisor to LG Ladakh is Chairman of the Committee, which shall be comprising all Administrative Secretaries of Ladakh, Director (Census Operation) J&K; State Information Officer, NIC Ladakh and representative of Dy Director General, UIDAI Regional Office, Chandigarh as the Members.
The committee shall take decision related to implementation of the Unique Identification Project in the UT with respect to entering into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Unique Identification Authority of India, finances, procurements, engaging manpower, hiring consultants and to roll out the project in the UT.
It shall also facilitate transfer of any data related to villages, Panchayats, individuals, target families under UT/Centrally Sponsored Schemes like PDS, MGNREGA, Government Insurance Schemes, Pensions etc for implementation of the project.
