JAMMU, Jan 17: Narwal police arrested a resident of Udhampur along with large quantity of illicit liquor.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Narwal Police Post laid a naka and intercepted a Wagon-R car bearing registration number JK14C-7164.
During checking, police recovered 144 bottles of illicit liquor from the vehicle and arrested the driver, who has been identified as Khem Raj, son of Suram Chand, a resident of Tehsil Ramnagar, District Udhampur.
A case under FIR Number 15/19 under section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Bahu Fort Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge Narwal Police Post SI Vikas Hans made the arrest under the supervision SHO Bahu Fort Inspector Pervaz Sajad, SP South Vinay Kumar and SSP Jammu Tejinder Singh.
