UDHAMPUR, Sept 26: As members of Udhampur District Bar Association today decided to continue suspension of work for two more days, the Jammu Bar Association along with some others also extended their support to the agitating Advocates for seeking action against ADC Udhampur.
The agitating members of Udhampur Bar Association also held a protest demonstration in the Court Complex against the erring officer. They warned that if the demands of the District Bar Association are not conceded at the earliest, the entire administration will have to face tough consequences.
Earlier, a general house meeting of the Bar was convened this morning under the chairmanship of its president Surinder Khajuria, wherein it was decided that in view of the alleged irresponsible behaviour and attitude of ADC Udhampur, the agitation should be taken forward and as such they decided to suspend the work for another two days. Further course of action will be decided tomorrow.
Meanwhile, Bar Association Jammu, Bar Association Chenani, Bar Association Ramnagar and Bar Association Majlata have extended their support to the Bar Association Udhampur.
