JAMMU: The judicial custody of Lashkar militant Mohammad Naved Yakub, who was arrested alive in Udhampur attack, was today extended for another 14 days.
“Naved was produced before the special NIA Court this morning after 14 days,” sources here told UNI.
They said, “Court has extended the judicial custody of Naved for more two weeks and he has been sent to the Central Jail, Kot Bhalwal.”
Earlier, Naved was produced before the Judge for confessional statement, asked for apology. Meanwhile, driver Showkat Ahmad who was arrested from Pulwama, Srinagar for transporting Naved and his accomplice Mohammad Momin on August 5, was also produced in the NIA court.
Two BSF personnel were martyred, a militant was killed and one arrested alive during an attack on BSF convoy on August 5 near Samroli in Udhampur district. (AGENCIES)
