JAMMU : A militant, who managed to escape from the encounter site this morning, abducted three civilians on gun point while the security forces have launched an extensive search operation in forest area of Udhmapur district of Jammu and Kashmir.
“One of the militants who gave a slip to the security forces post attack from encounter site in Samroli area had kidnapped three civilians on gun point,” an official here said.
He said the Army, police and para-military forces are on job to trace him. The kidnapped persons were reportedly identified as Des Raj, Subash Sharma and Jeevan Sharma.
The militants earlier in the morning lobbed a grenade and then fired indiscriminately on BSF convoy heading from Jammu to Srinagar in Udhampur district in which a militant was killed and two BSF jawans were martyred. (AGENCIES)
