UDHAMPUR, Sept 2: Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur Indu Kanwal Chib today launched eight e- services of Revenue Department taking the total number of online services available in the district to 40.
After launching the e-services, the DC said that the District Administration Udhampur has started several Information Technology enabled services which are helping in delivering the public welfare services in an effective, efficient and transparent manner. The DC informed that a total of 32 e-services of different departments are already in the public domain and eight more e-services of the Revenue department have been added today in the league.
He informed that eight e- services launched in the district includes online issuance of OBC certificates, Backward Area certificate, Schedule Caste, Schedule Tribe, Character Certificate, dependent Certificate, Legal Heir Certificate, Marriage Certificate, Income certificate, Income & Assets certificate for economically weaker section of the society.
The DC reiterated that such facilities save the time of common masses and provide free services to the people of the District in a fast and transparent manner.
Earlier, marking the launch, the Deputy Commissioner Udhampur handed over marriage certificates to the applicants in her office Chamber. She congratulated the beneficiaries and appreciated the tireless efforts made by DIO NIC, Anil Sharma and his team. She said that NIC is playing a pivotal role in managing and providing all technical support for smooth running of the IT Enabled services in the district.
She also appreciated the efforts of Tehsildar Udhampur Amit Verma and his team for ensuring e -services to the beneficiaries of the district in an expeditious and transparent manner. The DC appealed to the general public of the district to come forward and avail the maximum benefits of these e-services. The DC added that Udhampur Administration is trying to provide maximum online services to the common masses of the District as per the directives of the Government.
