JAMMU, Feb 24: Two youth including a sewadar were found hanging in the areas falling under the jurisdictions of Bahu Fort and Gangyal Police Stations.
As per police sources, a youth (sewadar) identified as Bhupinder Singh (24), son of Harjeet Singh, a resident of Lam, Nowshera, District Jammu was found hanging in a Gurdwara in Trikuta Nagar here today.
After conducting autopsy by the Board of Doctors at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Jammu, the body of the deceased was handed over to family members for last rites.
Inquest proceedings under Section 174 CrPC have been initiated by Bahu Fort Police.
Meanwhile, the family alleged that their kin has been murdered and demanded justice viz free and fair enquiry.
In another similar incident, a 24-year-old youth identified as Anmol Sharma (24), son of Ram Parkash Sharma, a resident of Smailpur Kothe was found hanging at his home.
The body of the deceased has been shifted to mortuary of Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Jammu for autopsy.
Cognizance has been taken by Gangyal Police in this regard.
