RAJOURI, Dec 22: Two youth were killed when their bike was hit by an unknown vehicle near Muradpur last night.
A police spokesman said that mishap took place when both victims Sachin Kumar (19), son of Raj Kumar resident of Dalogara and Ravi Kumar (23), son of Ram Lal, resident of Saranu village were going to their homes from Rajouri side. It was at around 10.45 pm when an unknown vehicle hit the bike No. JK-11A/5546 and both the boys were thrown away. They kept lying on the road in the cold for some time.
A villager noticed the boys lying in pools of blood on the road near Muradpur bridge and informed locals of the area. They reported the matter to Rajouri police on phone. After some time, the police party led by SHO reached there and they shifted the boys to District Hospital Rajouri at around mid-night where, doctors declared them as dead.
The police registered a case in this connection and started investigation. The dead bodies of the youth after postmortem were handed over to their respective families for last rites.
