Two women among 3 arrested with heroin

JAMMU, Sept 26: Bhatindi Police under ‘Operation Sanjeevani’ arrested three persons including two ladies along with 10 grams of heroin.
As per police sources, during patrolling, a team from Bhatindi Police Post intercepted three persons, who were moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police team recovered 10 grams of heroin from their possession and arrested them.
The arrested persons have been identified as Shazia Begum, wife of Mehraj and Afroza, wife of Mohammad Rafiq, both residents of District Ramban, presently residing in Bhatindi and Dilawar Ahmed, son of Bashir Ahmed, a resident of Gool, District Ramban.
A case under FIR Number 252/18 under Section 8/21/29 NDPS Act has been registered at Bahu Fort Police Station and investigation started to ascertain the source of the consignment.
Police team led by Incharge Bhatindi Police Post SI Rakesh Roshan made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Bahu Fort Inspector Parvez Sajjad, SDPO East Vipan Chandra, SP South Vinay Kumar and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
