JAMMU, May 19: Channi Himmat police arrested two vehicle lifters and recovered two stolen motorcycles and a car from their possession.
As per police sources, on May 12 this year, a complainant was lodged by Inderjeet, son of Om Parkash of Nowabad Sunjawan Road Jammu with Police Station Channi Himmat stating that his motorcycle bearing registration number JK02BK-1957 has been stolen by some unknown person(s).
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 62/19 under section 379 RPC was registered at Police Station Channi Himmat and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, a team from Police Station Channi Himmat led by SHO Inspector Mohammad Aslam questioned several suspects and based on leads developed during investigation, two persons identified as Farooq Ahmed of Syed Mohammad and Ajaz Ahmed, son of Mohammad Habib, both resident of Dachan Tehsil Gool District Ramban were arrested. On their disclosure, three stolen vehicles including a car were recovered.
Further questioning of the accused is going on to ascertain their involvement in other theft cases.
