Two thieves held, stolen items recovered

KISHTWAR, Mar 5: Police today arrested two thieves and recovered stolen items from their possession.
Police spokesman said that, on January 31, thieves struck in the electronics shop Tanveer Electronics and decamped with electronic goods.
A case under FIR No 12/13 under Section 457/380 RPC was registered at Police Station Kishtwar and investigation started, he added.
He said that, during intervening night of February 20 and 21, some thieves barged into a shop AD Agencies, adding that the thieves set the said shop on fire, in which property worth lakhs were damaged.
In this regards a case under FIR No 21/13 was registered at Kishtwar Police Station and manhunt was launched to arrest the thieves, spokesman added.
He said that during course of investigation, police came to know that one Zakir Hussain alias Bitta, son of Ghulam Mohd of Sangrambhatta was selling mobile on nominal rates and was picked up by the police for questioning.
During questioning, he broke down and confessed his involvement in the thefts and also disclosed the name of his associate, who was identified as Raj Kiran, son of Chuni Lal of Sangrambhatta.
On their disclosure, the stolen items including 106 mobile phones, two laptops, one video recording camera, 6 Sony cameras, two tablets with keypad, 92 blank DVDs, 4 pen drives, 10 card readers, 100 mobile phone batteries, 50 chargers, 2 emergency lights, 2 tutters, 5 computer mouse, 36 headphones, two blue-tooth devises, 20 un-serviceable mobile phone and three make-up purses with full accessories, spokesman added.
Further investigation into the cases was going on and more recoveries are likely to be made in near future, he added.
