JAMMU, Apr 14: Gharota Police arrested two thieves and recovered stolen items from their possession.
As per police sources, on April 11 this year, a written complaint was lodged at Police Station Gharota by Headmaster of Government Middle School Amb regarding theft of three LPG cylinders and one water motor from the Government Middle School Amb and Government Primary School Amb.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 35/2022 under Sections 457 and 380 IPC was registered at Police Station Gharota and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, a team from Police Station Gharota led by SHO Inspector Rajesh Khajuria was constituted under the supervision of SDPO Akhnoor Varun Jandial.
The team did strenuous efforts and with the help of CCTV cameras footages of the area finally arrested two thieves, who were identified as Ravi Kumar, son of Sandkhu Ram and
Swarn Singh, son of Ram Singh, both residents of Amb District Jammu.
On their disclosure stolen items were recovered.
Further questioning of the arrested persons is going on to ascertain their involvement in other cases.
