UDHAMPUR, Apr 20: Two tempo travellers having fake registration numbers seized during checking at Jakhani here today.
As per police sources, the sleuths of Traffic Police Department laid a naka under the supervision of DySP Traffic Himat Singh at Jakhani here and intercepted two tempo travellers.
During scrutiny of documents, it came to fore that both the vehicles were having fake registration numbers.
Both the vehicles were seized and their drivers identified as Kuldeep Kumar, son of Dhani Ram of Jakhar Gandala District Jammu and Gowhar Rashid, son of Abdul Rashid Tantray of Krawah Banihal District Ramban were arrested.
The vehicles and the arrested drivers were handed over to Udhampur Police for legal action under law.
However, cases under relevant Sections have been registered against the arrested drivers at Police Station Udhampur and investigation started.
