JAMMU, Sept 23: Two victims of road accidents today succumbed to their injuries here at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).
According to a police spokesman, a woman identified as Rani Devi (35) wife of Dharam Pal, resident of Ward No 13 (RS Pura) was admitted in GMCH Jammu on September 15 with grievous injuries suffered in a road mishap at Chakori in RS Pura. “However, the woman succumbed to her injuries today at about 4.30 am”, he added.
“Similarly, a youth namely Sohan Lal (26) son of Naseeb Chand, resident of Chak Shiyaan (RS Pura), who was also undergoing treatment here at GMCH for his injuries, which he had suffered in a road mishap at Gadigarh on September 18, expired today at about 11 am”, the spokesman further said.
The spokesman said that after conducting post mortem, the bodies of both the deceased have been handed over to their legal heirs for last rites while the concerned police have taken cognizance in both the cases.
