Two smugglers held with 4 bovines

JAMMU, Apr 18: In separate cases, Jhajjar Kotli police today arrested two bovine smugglers and rescued four bovines from their possession.
“During routine naka checking this evening at Suketar, a police team intercepted two vehicles including a Mahindra load carrier and a load carrier auto and on checking found two bovines each loaded in two vehicles which were being smuggled to Kashmir,” a police official said.
He said that both the vehicles were seized and their drivers arrested. “The accused were identified as Mohd Mushtaq son of Mohd Mirza, resident of Miran Sahib (Jammu) and Altaf son of Hanief, resident of Ramban,” the official said, adding two separate FIRs have been registered in this connection at police station Jhajjar Kotli.
