JAMMU, July 2: Police today arrested four persons, including two Rohingya refugees, who were wanted in separate theft cases.
In one of the cases, two individuals, identified as Charan Singh of Senabathi, tehsil Pogal Paristhan, district Ramban, and Dimple Sharma of Chhotepur, Pathankote, Punjab, at present Last Morh, near Babe Mandir, were arrested in connection with FIR number 79/2025 under section 304(2) BNS registered at Police Station Bakshi Nagar, and Rs 6000 were recovered from their possession.
A Rohingya refugee, identified as Saiful Islam of Myanmar at present Kiryani Tallab, Jammu was arrested in another case FIR number 80/2025 under section 303(2) BNS registered at Police Station Bakshi Nagar and a stolen scooty (JK02CJ-6963) was recovered from his possession.
Another Rohingya refugee, identified as Mohammad Ayas of Myanmar at present Kiryani Tallab, Narwal, Jammu was arrested in connection with a case FIR number 102/2024 under section 303(2) of the BNS registered at Police Station Bakshi Nagar and a stolen scooty (JK02BD-2043) was recovered from his possession.
Pertinently, the arrests and seizures were made by a team of Police Post Bakshi Nagar led by incharge Police Post, PSI Tanvinder Singh.
