JKTF highlights issues, demands of teachers

JAMMU, July 2: A meeting of the Jammu & Kashmir Teachers Forum (JKTF) was convened today under the chairmanship of Ganesh Khajuria, Chief Patron JKTF, at Gandhi Nagar, Jammu.
During the meeting, several pressing issues concerning the teaching community across the Union Territory were discussed in detail. Key matters deliberated included: Annual Transfer Drive (ATD) and related grievances, resolution of pending GPF cases, rationalisation of teaching staff across institutions, regularisation of In-Charge (I/C) Lecturers, ZEOs, and Headmasters, departmental promotion cases pending clearance and adjustment of lecturers in Jammu province.
The Forum strongly emphasized the need for equitable treatment of teaching staff across both divisions and urged the Secretary School Education R N Sharma, Financial Commissioner, DSE Jammu to expedite the resolution of all pending issues.
Ganesh Khajuria, in his address, called for prompt administrative action to ensure transparency, fairness, and timely redressal of genuine demands.
The meeting concluded with a unanimous resolution to continue raising these issues at all appropriate platforms until concrete steps are taken by the authorities.
The meeting was attended by S Surat Singh Toofani, Darshan Sharma, Raj Singh Gopal Singh, J A Agah, Provincial President Kuldeep Singh Bandral , Gautam Singh , Kuldeep Verma, P D Singh, District Presidents , Pawan Sharma, Yougal Dubey, Zonal Presidents Balraj Singh, Davinder Singh, Gurbachan Singh, Ravinder Singh , Bishan Sharma , S Jatinder Singh, Bupesh Choudhary and senior members of the Forum and other representatives from the teaching fraternity.
