Two Pakistani Rangers injured in retaliation firing by BSF on IB 

JAMMU:     Two Pakistani Rangers were today injured as BSF retaliated effectively to the cross border firing in Akhnoor sector here. “Pakistani Rangers this afternoon at around 1500 hrs fired unprovoked at forward BSF posts in Checken Neck area at Akhnoor,” an official spokesperson here said.

He said during cross border firing initiated by counterpart at Jammu Border, BSF retaliated in a befitting manner. “At least two Pakistan Rangers were shot in retaliatory firing by BSF,” he added.

Earlier at 1450 hrs, Pakistan Rangers started unprovoked cross border firing in Pargwal area of Jammu region, said the spokesperson. Yesterday, a BSF jawan was injured in sniper shot by Pakistan on international border in Jammu. (AGENCIES)
