DODA, July 18: Bhaderwah Police arrested two notorious drug peddlers.
As per police sources, a team from Police Station Bhaderwah led by PSI Nishant Salgotra during checking at Qilla Mohallah intercepted a pedestrian.
During checking, police team recovered narcotics from the possession of the pedestrian and arrested him.
The arrested person was identified as Aqib Fareed Batt, son of Fareed Ahmed Batt of Runta Tehsil Bhaderwah District Doda.
Meanwhile, another team from Police Station Bhaderwah on receiving information about sale of narcotics by a man from his rented accommodation, conducted raid and recovered narcotics substance.
The team also arrested the accused, who was identified as Sajjad Amin Bhatt, son of Mohd Amin Bhatt of District Kishtwar, at present University Road Tehsil Bhaderwah District Doda.
Cases under relevant sections have been registered at Police Station Bhaderwah and investigation started.
The recovery and arrests were made under the supervision of SHO Bhaderwah Inspector Jatinder Singh Rakwal and SDPO Bhaderwah Abdul Ghafoor.
