RAMBAN, Oct 15: Two notorious bootleggers landed in police net along with 70 pouches of illicit liquor.
As per police sources, on specific information, police team from Ramban police station raised a naka and arrested two notorious bootleggers along with 70 pouches of illicit liquor.
The accused have been identified as Jagdev Singh, son of Lal Singh of Rajgarh and Mangal Singh, son of Faquir Chand of Sawni Chanderkot.
The accused used to sell the illicit liquor pouches among the people on exorbitant rates. They were doing this illegal trade for the past sometime.
A case FIR Number 107/15 and 108/15 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Ramban and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Ramban police station Inspector Vinod Kundal made the arrest under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Ramban Mohammad Rafiq Choudhary and SSP Ramban Randeep Kumar.
