JAMMU, Dec 23: Nowabad police today arrested two narcotic smugglers and recovered over 1.5 kilograms of charas from their possession.
A per police sources, on specific inputs, police party from Nowabad police station led by SHO Jai Pal Sharma laid a naka near Jewel and intercepted two persons moving suspiciously.
During checking, police recovered 1.5 kilograms of charas from their possession and arrested both the narcotic smugglers, who have been identified as Masruf Ahmed of Kulgam and Nazir Ahmed of Anantnag.
A case under FIR number 212/13 under Section 8/20/21 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at Nowabad police station and investigation started.
