DODA, Sept 22: Police here today booked two notorious narcotic smugglers under PIT NDPSA for their active involvement in illicit narcotic trafficking.
The narcotic smugglers were identified as Sajad Ahmed Butt, son of Gulam Qadir Butt, resident of Wanda Beoli Doda and Muzamil Rafiq, son of Mohd Rafiq Ganie, resident of Sultanpura, Bhaderwah and they were lodged in District Jail Bhaderwah under the order passed by Divisional Commissioner Jammu.
In a handout the Police Department stated that activities of the duo were highly detrimental and they were serious threat to the society due to their involvement in a number of FIRs registered against them at Police Stations Bhaderwah and Doda.
It is pertinent to mention here that a case in FIR number 159/2021 and in FIR number 153/2023 under relevant provisions of NDPS Act were registered against Sajad Ahmed Butt at Police Station Doda.
Similarly, a case in FIR number 166/2019 and FIR number 60/2023 under relevant sections of NDPS Act were registered against Muzamil Rafiq at Police Station Bhaderwah.
