SRINAGAR:Two more Amarnath pilgrims died near the cave shrine in south Kashmir Himalayas, taking the toll to six since the commencement of the 59-day-long pilgrimage from July 2.
An official of the Yatra Control Room (YCR) said a 35-year-old yatri, identified as Suresh Jatwa, resident of Ferozpore Indoor, Madhya Pradesh (MP) suffered a massive cardiac arrest near cave shrine, situated at 13,500 feet above sea level. He was immediately shifted to a nearby medical camp, where he was declared dead.
Two devotees were critically injured when they had a slip near the cave shrine. However, they were rushed to nearby medical camp but were later shifted to base camp hospital. Later, one of the yatri died, they said, adding that their identity was not immediately known. (AGENCIES)
