JAMMU, Feb 18: Two minor sisters, who were allegedly kidnapped from Jammu, were recovered from Chhattisgarh, and handed over to their family members today, officials said.
On February 10, a man lodged a written complaint with Police Station Janipur, stating therein that his two daughters had been abducted by two individuals, identified as Shiva Dass and Manoj Kumar, both residents of Chhattisgarh, currently residing in Janipur Colony, they said.
On this, the police officials said, an intensive investigation was launched, and with the use of human and technical intelligence, the missing minor girls were recovered from Balooda, Chhattisgarh.
After completion of the legal formalities, the missing minor girls were handed over to their legal heirs, they said.
Meanwhile, in a statement, the Jammu and Kashmir Police reiterated its commitment to ensuring the safety of women and children, emphasizing the importance of vigilance and community cooperation.
