JAMMU, Dec 18: Two persons made abortive attempt on their lives by consuming some poisonous substance at their respective residences in RS Pura and Akhnoor.
According to a police spokesperson, Ashwani Kumar (30) son of Ashok Kumar of RS Pura consumed some poisonous substance late last night at his residence, following which he was shifted to Government Hospital RS Pura. Later, in view of his serious condition he was referred to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where his condition is stated to be stable.
A youth identified as Bunti Sharma (18) son of Dev Raj, a resident of Jourian in Akhnoor also consumed some poisonous substance at his residence, late last night. He was rushed to Government Hospital Akhnoor by his family members, from where he was later referred to GMCH Jammu.
In both cases, the concerned police have taken cognizance of the matter.
