JAMMU, Apr 26: Two persons including a woman allegedly made abortive bids on their lives by consuming some poisonous substance at their respective residences in city outskirts, today.
According to police sources, a woman namely Sonia (30) wife of Sohan, a resident of Karwanda in Kot Bhalwal area, today consumed some poisonous substance at her home over some unknown reasons.
“Similarly, a man identified as Anchal Singh (30) son of Dev Raj, a resident of Marh also made a vain attempt to end his life by consuming some poisonous substance at her home”, the spokesman said, adding both were shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for treatment.
He said that the condition of both was stated to be stable till the last reports came in. “In both cases, the concerned police had taken cognizance of the matter”, he added.
