JAMMU, Jan 30: Two women today made abortive bid on their lives by consuming some poisonous substance at their respective residences in city outskirts.
According to police sources, a woman identified as Makhau Devi (35) wife of Ajeet Singh, a resident of Samachak and another Shakuntla Devi (56) wife of Ranjeet Singh, a resident of Satwari, allegedly consumed some poisonous substances at their respective residences following which they were shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu.
The condition both the women was stated to be stable till the last reports came in. In both cases, the concerned police have taken cognizance of the matter.
