KATHUA, Sept 6: Two persons today made an abortive bid on their lives by consuming some poisonous substance at their respective residences in different parts of Kathua district.
According to police sources, a man namely Tara Chand (40) son of Killo Ram, a resident of Krishanpura, Chanrorian today consumed some poisonous substance at his residence. He was shifted to Sub-District Hospital, Hiranagar in an unconscious condition. Later, doctors referred him to Government Medical College and Hospital Jammu for specialised treatment.
Meanwhile, a young boy identified as Kumal Singh (20) son of Jarmeet Singh, resident Ward number 16, Shiva Nagar also consumed some poisonous substance at his residence. He was immediately shifted to District Hospital, Kathua by the family members. Later he too was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for advance treatment.
The condition of both the persons was stated to be stable till the last reports came in. In both cases, the concerned police have taken cognizance of the matter and started investigations.
