Two killed in road mishaps

UDHAMPUR, Nov 5:  Two persons were killed in two separate road accidents in Rehmbal area today.
Official sources said that two persons were injured when an Alto car No. DL3CY/0389 rolled down into a gorge near Rehmbal last night. The injured  Abdul Qayoom (78) and his son, Zaffar Qayoom, residents of Bhaderwah were  shifted to District Hospital Udhampur by Police  and later referred to GMC Hospital, Jammu. Abdul Qayoom succumbed to injuries at GMC Hospital this morning. They were on way to Jammu from Bhaderwah  and Zaffar was driving.
A biker rider, Lance Naik Nasar-ul-Khan, son of Abdul Karim, resident of West Bengal was seriously injured when he was hit by an unknown vehicle near Rehmbal bridge  today. The Army personnel  was   rushed to Military Hospital, Udhampur where he died after some time. He had been posted at Northern Command.
The police registered a case at Rehmbal Thana  and started investigation. The vehicle could not be traced till late this evening.
