JAMMU, Feb 11: Two youth died after the bike they were travelling on skidded off the road and collided with a wall on the roadside here today at Akhnoor area of this District.
As per a police spokesperson, Rohit Kumar (20) and Aman Sharma (19) were going from Bomal to Devipur when they lost control over their bike at Nai Basti Nud area of Akhnoor, resulting in injuries to the duo.
“They were taken to Choudhary Hospital, Akhnoor by the locals, from where they were referred to Government Medical College and Hospital Jammu, where one of the youth, Rohit Kumar was declared as dead on arrival,” said the police spokesperson, adding, “the other youth, Aman Sharma, died on way to Punjab for advanced treatment”.
Police in Akhnoor have registered a case under relevant sections of the law and taken up further investigations.
