Two killed in car mishap

RAMBAN, Apr 11: Two persons were killed after a Bolero car they were travelling in rolled down into a deep gorge near Meghdar area on Harog-Sumber link road.
As per police sources, a Bolero car bearing registration number JK19 7840 engaged with Hindustan Construction Company, was on its way to Sumber from Harog, when the driver lost control over the vehicle and it plunged into deep gorge near Meghdar area on Harog-Sumber link road, resulting into on the spot death of two persons including the driver.
On getting information, police team led by SHO Police Station Dharamkund Inspector Firdous Ahmed rushed to the spot and with the help of locals retrieved the bodies from the gorge and shifted them to District Hospital Ramban.
After conducting autopsy, the bodies of the deceased were handed over to legal heirs for last rites.
The deceased were identified as Manpreet Singh (driver), son of Bharat Singh and Randhir Singh, son of Prithvi Singh, both residents of Bhajmasta, district Ramban.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Police Station Dharamkund and investigation started.
