Two killed as dumper falls into gorge

RAMBAN, Aug 2: Two persons were killed when a dumper skidded off the road and rolled down into a deep gorge near Kohli area, falling under the jurisdiction of Dharmkund Police Station. Click here to watch video
The ill-fated vehicle bearing registration number JK19-5090 was on its way to Dharmkund from Kohli, when the driver lost control over the vehicle and it plunged into gorge near Kohli, resulting into on the spot death of two persons.
On getting information, police team rushed to the spot and with the help of local volunteers retrieved the bodies from the gorge.
After conducting autopsy at District Hospital Ramban, the bodies of the deceased were handed over to family members for last rites.
The deceased have been identified as Irshad Ahmed (driver), son of Gulab Din and Muneer Ahmed, son of Bashir Ahmed, both residents of Bathie, District Ramban.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Dharmkund Police Station and investigation started.
