JAMMU, May 6: Two persons were injured today in separate road accidents in city and its outskirts.
“A speeding truck hit a bike this morning on National Highway near Asia Hotel and severely injured its rider namely Manish Chowdhary (25) son of Bachan Lal, resident of R S Pura,” a police official said.
He further informed that two motorcycles collided with each other at Digiana this afternoon. “In the mishap, a Senior Grade Constable namely Ashok Kumar of Samba, who is posted at residence of IGP (retired) Anjum and was riding one of the two-wheelers, received serious injuries,” he added.
The official said that both the injured persons were shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu, where their condition was stated to be critical when the last reports came in. “In both cases, the concerned police had taken cognizance,” he added.
