Shift package employees to Jammu: APMCC to Govt

JAMMU, May 6: All Parties Migrant Coordination Committee (APMCC) chairman, Vinod Pandit has reiterated his appeal to UT administration regarding the shifting of PM package and Jammu based employees to Jammu from Kashmir urgently in view of COVID pandemic.
In a statement issue here, today he reminded Lt Governor’s administration that “We have sent the detailed correspondence on 26.03.2020 in which a detailed representation was given to Advisor to LG, Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, concerned Deputy Commissioners of Kashmir province and Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner (M), Jammu in which an appeal was made to shift PM Package employees to Jammu keeping in view the unprecedented situation due to outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic”.
Such employees have their old-aged parents, kids and spouses in Jammu and they need the support. Pandit said on 12.04.2020 another detailed representation along with the number of employees stranded at different Transit camps across the Valley like (Vessu- Kulgam, Mattan – Anantnag, Nutnussa – Kupwara, Veerwan-Baramulla, Sheikhpura – Budgam/Srinagar, Kheer Bhawani-Ganderbal, Hall – Pulwama, rented employees from areas like Indira Nagar, Srinagar, Qazigund, areas in vicinity of Mattan, Kupwara, Kulgam, etc was sent to LG of UT and Chief Secretary requesting thereby for the same.
“Now, I once again request the LG administration to bring such employees back to Jammu till this pandemic is over”, he added.
