RAMBAN, Sept 13: Two persons got seriously injured, when the motorcycle they were riding on rolled down into a deep gorge near Digdol area on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.
As per police sources, two persons were riding on a motorcycle bearing registration number Jk19-1583 from Ramban to Banihal, when the rider lost control over the bike and it landed into 400-feet deep gorge near Digdol area on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and started rescue operation. The teams of SDRF, QRT and Army also joined the rescue operation.
The persons were rescued and shifted to District Hospital, from where they were later referred to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for advanced treatment.
The injured have been identified as Irshad Ahmed, son of Rehamtullah and Adil Hussain, son of Mushtaq Ahmed, both residents of Karawa, tehsil Banihal.
A case in this regard has been registered at Ramban police station and investigation started.
