JAMMU, Apr 14: Police in Bishnah area today arrested two persons with a pistol and a live cartridge.

A police spokesperson said that during routine naka checking on Ring Road, Bishnah, two individuals coming from Vijaypur side on a bike were stopped for checking but they tried to escape on seeing the police party.
The alert naka party chased and overpowered the duo identified as Rahul Dev of Khour Salarian, Ramgarh, District Samba and Ravinder Kumar of Rehal Kalandrian, Tehsil Bishnah, District Jammu, he said.
On their search, the police spokesperson said that a pistol and one live cartridge were recovered from their possession.
The duo has been accordingly booked in case FIR number 41/2024 under Section 7/25 of the Arms Act registered at Police Station Bishnah and further investigation taken up to unearth the backward and forward linkages in the case.
