RAMBAN, Apr 21: Police here today on the directions of SSP Ramban, Anuj Kumar arrested two bootleggers and recovered 70 bottles of illicit alcohol, each with 750 ml liquor from their possessions.
The arrested persons were identified as Mohd Yousaf, son of Mohd Hussain Sheikh and Mukhtar Ahmed, son of Abdul Gani Malik, both residents of Alchiward Arhama Hiller, Anantnag.
Cops from Police Station Ramban during a Naka duty at Shan Palace, Ramban, arrested these bootleggers while they were illegally selling liquor.
An FIR with number 85/2024 was registered in this regard under Section 48(a) of Excise Act at Police Station Ramban and investigation was entrusted to PSI Shiv Dutt.
