JAMMU, May 18: Jammu Police today arrested two drug peddlers from different locations and recovered 9.30 grams of heroin.
“A team of Police Station Gangyal led by SHO Inspector Ajaz Haider and assisted by Incharge Police Post Greater Kailash PSI Harish Chander, while on naka duty at Greater Kailash, rounded up one suspected person on a vehicle bearing registration number JK02AL-1698 and during search, recovered 3.30 grams of heroin and cash of Rs 12000 from his possession,” a Police spokesman said.
He said a case under FIR Number 60/23 u/s 8/21/22 NDPS Act was registered in this connection at Police Station Gangyal and the accused identified as Sunny Kumar son of Prabh Dyal, resident of Dharna (tehsil Katra, district Reasi) was arrested.
“Similarly, a team of Police Station Arnia, while on naka duty at Chak Jagtu (Salehar), rounded up a suspected person identified as Rashid Ali son of Masoom Ali, resident of Pachkal (Salehar) and on search, recovered 6 grams of heroin from his possession,” the spokesman said.
In this regard, a case FIR Number 32/2023 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Arnia and the accused arrested. Further investigation of the case is going on.
