SRINAGAR, June 9: Police today said that two people were arrested with poppy straw in Qazigund area of Kulgam district.
A police spokesman said police during checking intercepted a Tavera vehicle bearing registered number JK03A-4159 at Command Post North Portal near Jawahar Tunnel.
“During checking, police recovered 20 Kilograms of poppy straw from the possession of two people boarding the vehicle. They were identified as Kaisar Singh and Jangar Singh. Both of them have been taken into custody and further investigation has been taken up,” he added.
