JAMMU, Aug 22: Two persons were held today with intoxicants by Bahu Fort police.
According to a police spokesman, a police party of police station Bahu Fort headed by ASI Mohd Aziz laid a naka at Railway Station Gate and during naka checking intercepted two persons. On search of their personal belongings, police party recovered 4280 intoxicative capsules and 11 injections which they were carrying illegally.
Both the accused identified as Wipan Balgotra son of Jai Pal Balgotra, resident of Kanji House, Raghunath Bazar and Ajay Verma son of Bansi Lal, resident of Mast Garh, Jammu, were arrested on the spot and the recovered intoxicants seized.
A case under FIR No 163/2016 under Section 48 Excise Act has been registered at police station Bahu Fort and further investigation of the case is going on.
