JAMMU, July 3: Police today arrested two bootleggers along with around 150 pouches of illicit liquor from Dansal area, falling under the jurisdiction of Jhajjar Kotli police station.
A police spokesman said that, on specific inputs, police party from Jhajjar Kotli police station laid a naka near Dansal and intercepted a motorcycle bearing registration number JKO2AP-3379.
During checking, police recovered 148 pouches of illicit liquor and arrested two persons, who have been identified as Narinder alias Bika, son of Durga Dass and Akhtar Ali, son of Balkar Mohammad, both residents of Dansal.
A case under FIR number 80/14 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at police station Jhajjar Kotli and investigation started.
