JAMMU, July 22: Bakshi Nagar police today arrested two persons and recovered banned drugs from their possession.
“During routine Naka checking at Bakshi Nagar Pulli near Pawan Ice Cream, a police team from police station Bakshi Nagar intercepted a bike bearing registration No JK02U-5777and during physical checking of the biker and the pillion rider, 720 capsules and 60 tablets of banned drugs were recovered from their possession”, a police spokesman said.
He said that both the accused identified as Parveen Sharma son of late Rattan Lal Sharma and Parveen Sharma son of Ved Parkash, both residents of Bakshi Nagar, Jammu, were arrested on the spot and the recovered banned drugs seized.
The arrest and recovery was made by a special team led by SHO Bakshi Nagar, Inspector Ashwani Sharma and SI Tara Chand under the overall supervision of Nikhil Rasgotra, SDPO, Jammu west and Dr Vinod Kumar, SP, City North.
In this regard, a case under FIR No 130/2016 under Sections 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered and the investigation is going on.
