Two drug peddlers held with 2800 intoxicants

JAMMU, Aug 6: Police today arrested two drug peddlers and recovered 2800 intoxicant capsules from their possession.
A police spokesman said that, on specific inputs, police party from Bakshi Nagar Police Station laid a naka at Shiv Nagar and intercepted a pedestrian.
During checking, police recovered 2000 intoxicant capsules from his possession and subsequently arrested the drug peddler, who has been identified as Pavinder Singh alias Pitty, son of Kaka Azad Singh of Govindpura, Ludhiana, presently living in Shiv Nagar.
A case under FIR number 107/13 under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at Bakshi Nagar Police Station and investigation started.
Police party led by SI Sumit Sharma made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Dalip Singh and SDPO West Shabir Khan.
Meanwhile, on specific inputs, police party from Canal Road Police Post laid a naka and intercepted a motorcycle bearing registration number JKO2BA-4882.
During frisking, police recovered 800 intoxicant capsules and arrested the biker, who has been identified as Mohinder Pal, son of Vijay Kumar of Puran Nagar, Bhagwati Nagar.
A case under FIR number 118/13 under Section 8/21/22 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at Canal road police post.
Police parties led by SI Hilal Azhar made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO West Shabir Khan.
